Devenir and the American Bankers Association’s Health Savings Account Council released the results of the 5th annual Devenir & HSA Council Demographic Survey and resulting research report. The survey found that the 39 million HSAs that existed at the end of 2023 helped cover over 59 million Americans.

HSA deposit rates stayed steady in Q2 2025—except the $1,000 tier, which edged up from 0.43% to 0.44%. With the Fed’s Effective Federal Funds Rate remaining flat at 4.33%, providers are likely to maintain current rates, barring major economic shifts. Stay tuned as market conditions evolve—providers may tweak rates to attract and retain account holders.
