Key Credit Union Numbers
- $1.31 billion – Total HSA deposits held at credit unions totaled $1.31 billion as of 3/31/16, up 17.5% year-over-year.
- $2,400 – Devenir estimates the average HSA balance at a credit union is $2,400 as of 3/31/16, up 6.3% year-to-date.
- 830 – There are 830 credit unions holding HSA deposits as of 3/31/16, up from 817 credit unions at the end of 2015. There are 23 credit unions that each held at least $10 million in HSA deposits as of 3/31/16.
- 51% – The 25 largest HSA deposit holders among credit unions hold 51% of all HSA deposits at credit unions.
